Plunger Pumps (5PLN)
They are designed for pumping fresh and highly mineralized sewage water into oil measures in order to maintain reservoir pressure and to stimulate oil production.
Consists of penta plunger horizontal hydraulic single-acting pump with conversion of rotary motion into progressive motion by crank crosshead mechanism, built-in gearbox, suction and discharge headers and bypass, lubrication system, safety devices, control and protection system, drive clutch and barring gear mounted on common frame skids.
As compared with pumps of NB-125 type, the plunger pump 5PLN has:
1.4 times as less specific weight;
twice the overhaul period;
twice the service life;
4 or 5 times as much resource for replacement of hydraulic components (plungers, bushings, etc.).
