Designed for operation as the main engine for driving screw propeller on river boats and sea crafts.

Mounted on intermediate frame.

Axial thrust from screw propeller is taken by thrust bearing built into reduction gear.

Speed reversal is carried out through lowering and disengaging reversing reduction gear.

Diesel engine start and control is carried out remotely or from local control station installed on diesel engine.

Could be used for replacement of diesels of 6NVD26, 6-8NVD36 ("SKL", Germany) and L275 ("Skoda", Czechoslovakia) types on river boats and sea crafts, as well as on tug-push-boats of 1741A, 81172 project and others.
