We shape our future

29.06.2010    It was one of the mottos of 26th CIMAC World Congress on Combustion Engine Technology, which took place in Bergen on June 14-17. For the second time RUMO was the only company representing Russia at this significant event which gathers each 3 years all world companies involved in this field. This year CIMAC counted 900 participants from 39 countries. They are manufacturers of diesel and gas engines, gas turbines, ship owners, rail operators, oil companies, classification societies, scientists. The congress provides the unique opportunity to meet colleagues and customers, share the experience with other manufacturers, bringing together all the achievements of the previous three years and shaping the development trend for the future. The most important task for combustion engine technology remains making engines more environmentally friendly with maximum efficiency and many papers were focused on this issue. Within the frame of the congress RUMO hold discussions with leading manufacturers of the engine components which are already used in RUMO products or are planned to be used. Thus we are having tight cooperation with Hoerbiger, Altronic, Heinzmann applying advanced valves, ignition and control systems. RUMO had a nice chance to see Rolls Royce marine facilities which are doubtless a sample of modern and well organized production. Participation in CIMAC remains the important part of RUMO’s shaping its future in engine building.
