New Equipment for New Land

22.10.2009    RUMO JSC supplied diesel genset 8DG22D1 (1 MW) to the New Land Island. The genset assigned for modification of a present power station will be installed at the site belong to the Russian Ministry of Defense. It will replace worn-out genset DG72M (800 kW) and increase the power station total capacity. This was the second genset at the site. The first genset 8DG22D1 was started-up in 2008. It has been successfully working from the date of its putting into operation. Money and time costs of commissioning works have been greatly decreased due to using a special transit frame for mounting the genset on the foundation. RUMO’s service specialists are performing erection and commissioning. Diesel genset 8DG22D1 consists of diesel engine 8CHN22/28 (1052 kW, 1000 rpm) and the alternator (1000 kW, 400 V) by WEG, Brazil. The genset has a reliable air starting system. The scope of supply includes the starting bottles and the compressor.
